Welcome to our Austria website. Before you take a look around our website you might want to know about this country. Austria is a great country in Central Europe. It is landlocked by Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Italy, Switzerland, and Liechtenstein. On the west and to the south is mostly mountains(the Alps). To the east and to the north it is mostly flat. There is a lot of cathedrals including the famous St. Stephans. There is also a great ferris wheel in Prater's Park. You will learn more about it in my blog. Austria has many famous things. One is the Mozart chocolate. Austria used to be run by the Hapsburgs. Today Austria is run by Heinz Fisher since 2004. This great country also has an Opera House which you will learn more about in background information. Austria is a great country and I hope one day you will want to visit or revisit. Enjoy!!!!
